Ride of SilenceThe Ride of Silence Board of Directors has provided additional guidance to the local ride organizers regarding the Ride of Silence that was to have taken place Wednesday May 20, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. local time. COVID 19 has forced us to change the format of the ride. Rather than a mass ride leaving at 7:00 p.m. we are asking that if you do choose to ride, that you do so as an individual or with same household members only. Please follow these guidelines if you choose to ride:      1.      Ride in silence      2.      Remember and honor those who've been hit & killed while riding or seriously injured      3.       Ride slowly and a relatively short distance - this is not a race      4.      Wear a helmet & obey road laws for bicyclistsWe are also asking riders to take a selfie photo or 2 and use the hashtag #RideofSilence2020 and location of the event when posting their rides on social media. Posting to Ride of Silence Facebook page is especially encouraged: https://www.facebook.com/rideofsilence/I would encourage you to visit the ghost bikes and take a photo with it to honor the deceased person. These are on the 191 service road and 158, please contact me if you need more specific directions. Finally, please submit reports, photos, links to stories, etc. to the Ride of Silence website post-event form: http://www.rideofsilence.org/reports/ .Thank you all so much for your support and participation in previous Rides of Silence.
