Local Rides

Local RidesThese are the local rides most commonly enjoyed by our area cyclists.

Tuesday, Thursday and SaturdayOdessa to Goldsmith Ride    –  A medium paced ride leaving around 8:00 a.m. – ride to Goldsmith and Back – For Ride Details and verification, contact Carl Murdock @ 432-553-4909 or Jay Kelly @ 432-563-0179.

Tuesday and Thursday – Hwy 191 Ride – A faster-paced ride leaving at 6:15 PM from the Professional Building on the South service road of Hwy 191 and Loop 338 in Odessa.

Tuesday – The Tuesday Evening Ride – A medium paced, (14 – 18 MPH) recreational/training ride leaving at 6:15 PM from the Northwest parking lot of the Scharbauer Sports Complex (Grande Stadium) in Midland.  For up-to-date info contact Kelly Brammer (432) 559-5346.

sharetheroadWednesday – The Peyton’s Ride – Rides for everyone from eaG sy to race pace leaves from the Peyton’s parking lot at 6:00 – 6:15 PM (March – April – 6:00, May – September – 6:15, October – 6:00 during Daylight Savings Time). Distances from 15 – 30 miles, depending on ability. Call Peyton’s 699-1718 for actual times.

Sunday – The Easy Riders – An easy paced, learning ride leaves from Peyton’s parking lot at 3:00 PM.  This is a no drop ride of 15 – 21 miles.

Sunday – Mountain Bike Ride – Starts at the Odessa Mountain Bike Park around 2:00 PM. Come ride the trails that suit your ability – must be a member of the PBBA and wear a helmet at all times.

All rides are simply meeting places for enjoying a ride with fellow riders.
